A 25-year-old man was eastbound on a 2023 Yamaha MT-09 motorcycle when a 39-year-old man, driving a 1998 Jeep Cherokee that had just merged onto the road from Gilman Drive, is said to have made an unsafe lane change, colliding with the motorcycle.
Following the initial crash, the motorcycle rear-ended a third vehicle, a Toyota Highlander operated by a 77-year-old male. The grim sequence of events led to the motorcycle rider being transported to the hospital for a serious but non-life-threatening open fracture to his right knee and femur.
