
Yesterday morning, a tragic incident occurred in Mount Healthy, where a 42-year-old man was killed while sitting in his vehicle. In a statement obtained by The Enquirer, the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office revealed they responded to a call for assistance from Mount Healthy Police Chief Jerome Deidesheimer near the Speedway gas station on the 7300 block of Hamilton Avenue around 3 a.m.
The victim, identified as Reginald Simpson, was discovered by deputies at the scene with a fatal bullet wound, and they confirmed that he died when he was struck as they arrived, as per the information in the news release. The deputies and Chief Jerome Deidesheimer, who requested the assistance, dealt with the immediacy of the shooting and the aftermath as they unfolded. Yet, there has been no word on potential suspects or further casualties.
Both the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Section and the Mount Healthy Police Department are actively investigating the shooting but have not provided details regarding the circumstances that led to the tragic event, according to a report by WCPO.
