To reinvigorate stalled investigations, the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office has introduced a new webpage spotlighting unsolved, cold case homicides. The online platform serves as a repository for crucial details on cases like Charly Richards, Bonifacio Rodriguez-Rodriguez, and John Warner Nolen, all of which have remained unsolved for decades, as detailed by Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office press release.

Charly Richards, a Clark College student, and U.S. Army reservist disappeared on August 21, 1992, with her body discovered ten days later in Troutdale's wooded seclusion. Having left behind a trail grown cold, hope flickers anew with the webpage's launch. Bonifacio Rodriguez-Rodriguez's fate was equally grim. Last seen alive on September 25, 1994, before being found on Sauvie Island with a bullet wound. Working tirelessly, as publicized on the webpage, detectives seek that crucial break in the case that has eluded them for years.

John Warner Nolen's story adds yet another layer of mystery. Initially an unidentified male found in the Columbia River on April 29, 1992, his family reported him missing a year later in Washington State. Not until 2013 did dental records finally give a name to the once faceless victim. According to the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office release, detectives earnestly encourage anyone with information on these or other cold cases to step forward.

The Sheriff's Office assures the site of ongoing updates with additional cases in the coming months. For information to share on these cases, the public can contact detectives at 503-988-0560 or via email at [email protected], using the tip submission form or, for anonymity, through Crime Stoppers of Oregon.
