The New Orleans Police Department is actively seeking information from the public to help locate two individuals wanted in connection with an aggravated battery by shooting incident. The suspects, 54-year-old Jerome Benjamin Senior and 18-year-old Jerome Benjamin Junior, both Black males, are the subjects of arrest warrants after being identified as the gunmen in a recent shooting that left a 20-year-old male victim with gunshot wounds.
Investigators have pieced together the events that occurred on the evening of September 13, around 10:50 p.m. when Fifth District officers were called to a reported shooting in the 3000 block of Oliver White Street. The injured man discovered at the scene was quickly transported to a local hospital by New Orleans EMS and is now reportedly in stable condition. Yet, it was later established that the shooting incident actually took place in the 3300 block of Maurice Duncan Drive. After gathering evidence and conducting interviews, detectives were able to quickly ascertain the identities of the suspects, prompting them to officially file arrest warrants for the father and son duo.
Authorities are appealing to anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the suspects or the incident itself to come forward.
