New Orleans Police Department have released a call to the public for assistance in a homicide case that has the busy streets of Bourbon reeling from another incidence of gunfire violence. An individual, identities unknown, is being sought not as a suspect, but rather as a potential key to unraveling the events leading up to the tragic loss of life on June 22. The New Orleans Police Department released an image of the person believed to have critical information about the murder-by-shooting that took place in the 600 block of Bourbon Street, a site no stranger to the city's highs and lows.
The call for assistance, tinged with the urgency of justice delayed, was disseminated with the hope that someone, anyone within the city's earshot, might recognize the individual caught on camera—standing there, perhaps an unsuspecting linchpin in a narrative of violence. Detailing what's at stake, New Orleans Police Department News emphasized, "Please note this individual is NOT wanted for this crime and is sought only because of information they may possess."
"Anyone with information regarding the crime or the identity of the person of interest is asked to call Homicide detectives at 504-658-5300 or to anonymously call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111," the New Orleans Police Department requested, signaling both the dire need for clues and the shield of confidentiality they are prepared to offer..
