The New Orleans Police Department is actively seeking assistance from the public to identify two suspects connected to a felony theft incident, which resulted in the hospitalization of a victim. The NOPD has released images of the individuals suspected of drugging and robbing a person on Canal Street earlier this August.
In the early hours of August 23, around 1:18 a.m., the unidentified suspects allegedly administered a drug to the victim in the 900 block of Canal Street. The subsequent effects of the drug eventually led to the victim being hospitalized. Following the assault, the suspects are accused of taking various items from the victim, including a bank card, which was later used for multiple fraudulent transactions. The department is now reaching out to the community to gain any potentially helpful information.
Photos of the suspects and details of the crime have been posted on the official NOPD News website. Authorities are urging anyone who may recognize the suspects or have any relevant details to promptly contact Eighth District detectives at 504-658-6080 or, to remain anonymous, Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111.
