
A woman's life came to a tragic end last Friday night at Oz Tactical. The Newnan Police Department responded to a distressing call around 9:17 p.m. involving an unknown issue that quickly escalated to a reported firearm discharge, according to a press release from the City of Newnan.
Officers discovered the fatal scene upon their arrival at 1 East Court Square, with the victim already suffering from the consequences of a fatal gunshot wound. Emergency medical services made the scene but to no avail; the woman was pronounced deceased, unable to overcome her injuries.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has taken the reins in this homicide inquiry, urging the public to come forward with any pertinent information.
