The city's annual Christmas Parade is set to march through downtown on December 14 at 6:00 p.m., carrying the theme "Christmas Classics" this year. In a statement obtained by the City of Newnan's official press release, Mayor Brady expressed excitement for the upcoming event: "Newnan’s annual Christmas parade is more than just a parade. It’s a gathering of community spirit, where friends and family come together to celebrate the magic of the season. We are thrilled to once again bring joy to our community with our annual holiday celebration."
Participants can compete for various awards, including Most Creative, Most Original, and the Elfin Award, which recognizes children's involvement. The community can also vote for the People’s Choice Award on social media after the parade. The parade committee has selected Andrew Moody, Special Projects Manager, to serve as the Chair of the Christmas Parade Committee. Lori Denny, Leisure Services Coordinator, will manage the details and applications for the event.
