The Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) is intensifying efforts to gather information on a hit-and-run incident that claimed the life of a pedestrian in July. The call to the public comes as detectives hit a wall in their investigation into the case of Mychal Walls, a 25-year-old who was struck and killed by an unknown vehicle, as per Oklahoma News 4.
The tragic event unfolded on July 20, around 1:15 a.m. on Interstate 44, just south of SW 15th Street in Oklahoma City. Fox 25 reports that the assailant's vehicle was traveling southbound and failed to stop after the collision. Despite having spoken with witnesses who stopped to help or called 911, the OHP has not been able to track down the vehicle involved, as there was no debris left behind to indicate its make or model.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol hopes that new details will emerge to help identify the driver responsible for Walls' death. The public can assist by contacting the OHP at 405-425-2323 with any potential leads or insights they may have.
