A shooting in DeKalb County has resulted in one man dead and another in custody yesterday morning. DeKalb County Police were called to the 5200 block of Truman Drive around 9 a.m., and found a man’s body with multiple gunshot wounds. As provided by FOX 5 Atlanta, the incident appears to have stemmed from an argument that escalated into violence.
According to FOX 5 Atlanta, the suspect in this case did not flee but was arrested at the location where the fallen man laid. Found at the scene, investigators theorize that before culminating in gunfire, a dispute grew between the gunman and the victim. In a separate report by Atlanta News First, details emerged confirming the fatal event's location along Truman Drive in Decatur. The suspect responsible for the deadly shooting, according to police, remained at the scene and was subsequently taken into custody. Neither the suspect's identity nor the victim's have yet been revealed by the DeKalb County Police Department.
