Tragedy struck in southeast Charlotte when one person was killed and two others were critically injured during a triple shooting at an Airbnb. The incident was reported to have taken place in the early hours on Hollow Drive, a quiet area off Monroe Road. According to WBTV, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department received a call around 1:20 a.m. and arrived to find three victims suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds.

All three victims were rushed to the hospital. It is there, one person was pronounced dead, as per WCNC Charlotte. The police have not released the identities of the victims as the investigation continues. The Airbnb where the incident occurred was rented out for an event, which, following the shooting, now casts a somber light on the intended celebrations.

As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, and police are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the violent episode. WCCB Charlotte reports that the CMPD is urging anyone with information to come forward and contact Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600 or to submit an anonymous tip online.
