The landscape of Springdale's dining scene is shifting with the planned relocation of Mi Cozumel, a popular Mexican restaurant initially nestled within the confines of Tri-County Mall. The move, scheduled to be completed by the end of December 2024, will see the establishment take over a spacious new venue at 11340 Princeton Pike, formerly housing the Juicy Crab and, before that, a TGI Friday's.
Amidst the changes, Mi Cozumel's owners have reassured patrons with an announcement stating, "Do not worry, we will be back open in December 2024 at our new, bigger, and better location," a commitment that echoes the sense of enthusiasm for the future WLWT reported on. The relocation comes in tandem with Tri-County Mall's transition to a new purpose, requiring Mi Cozumel to adapt, the new site will boast a new food and drink menu and even offers entertainment options.
Details provided by Diana Jaime, Mi Cozumel's marketing director and the CEO's sister, articulate the scale of their new location as being significantly more expansive. The main building stretches over 7,500 square feet, complemented by a considerable patio space of 1,800 square feet. According to an interview with Local12, the new site is "a big step up" for the chain.
The company's message, posted on their official Facebook page, extends gratitude towards their patrons, stating "Thank you all for so many great memories at this location, amazing support from the local community and our state to our family business and UNIQUE CONCEPT since 2018" while inviting customers to visit its other locations during the transition, which include establishments on Winton Rd., Vandercar Way, and N Broadway St. The restaurant's dedication to community and customer experience shines through these communications as they promise a reinvigorated dining adventure with the unveiling of their revamped location.
