
After nearly two months of investigation, Portland Police have successfully arrested the suspect tied to a fatal shooting in the Lloyd District Neighborhood. On July 28, the area was disrupted by violence that claimed the life of Jacob Forrest. According to a press release from the Portland Police Bureau, Cresencio Flores, 27, was apprehended yesterday, September 24, for his alleged involvement in the incident.
With the assistance of the bureau's Special Emergency Reaction Team, the Portland Police Bureau's Homicide Unit carried out the arrest which saw Flores charged with Murder in the Second Degree and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. It was with relief, the family of the victim, Forrest, was informed that the individual suspected of taking a life prematurely, has now been lodged at the Multnomah County Detention Center.
Officials have not yet disclosed whether Flores has retained legal representation or when his first court appearance will be.
