
The Portland Police Bureau is requesting assistance from the public to locate an individual accused of indecent exposure to a female jogger along the Springwater Corridor. According to the Portland Police Bureau, the troubling incident occurred on the morning of September 4, when a man reportedly exposed himself to a woman out for a run.
The Portland Police responded to the scene near Southeast Johnson Creek Boulevard and Southeast Brookside Drive at around 10:30 a.m. after receiving reports of a sex offense. The jogger described a man on a bicycle who passed by her, disappeared into the bushes, and then emerged naked as she neared. It was in this state of undress that the man, described as being in his 30s, approximately 5’8” tall, with a bald head, wearing black clothing, and carrying two backpacks on his bike, made an unsolicited and unwelcome grab at her, according to a news release from Portland Police Bureau. Despite a diligent search, the officers were unable to find the suspect.
Details of the suspect's appearance have been circulated by law enforcement to aid his identification. Community members with any relevant information are urged to come forward and help bring resolution to this case.
