Early this morning, officers from the California Highway Patrol (CHP) Oakland Area office were on the scene near the Bay Bridge, where they observed a white Infiniti engaging in illegal sideshow activity. The incident began at roughly 12:39 a.m. and quickly escalated when the driver attempted to elude law enforcement. According to CHP Oakland, the following pursuit led deep into Oakland, concluding with the vehicle crashing into a tree at Mandela Parkway.

The aftermath of the chase saw the driver and passenger attempting, only to be caught following a brief foot pursuit swiftly. The suspects were transported to a local hospital for medical examination before being booked at Santa Rita Jail. They now face several charges that include reckless driving and felony evading.
