
A 62-year-old man from Rockland, Massachusetts, suffered critical injuries while performing yard work on his property after being impaled by part of a tree, as per 7NEWS. The incident took place on Saturday, and Rockland Fire Department officials stated the man was operating a machine designed to clear a wooded area when the tree fell and pierced the vehicle, subsequently impaling him.
The individual was using a skid steer to clear out trees behind his house at the time of the accident and the tree, which had come down unexpectedly, went through the vehicle's cabin and into his abdomen; he was then swiftly taken to South Shore Hospital, where his condition was listed as critical, the fire officials say the accident was severe with the tree branch embedding eight inches into the man's abdomen and authorities had to extricate the man from the construction vehicle and remove the branch, according to information provided by NBC10 Boston.
