With the last update received at 7:20 AM MDT, the city is currently enjoying a comfortable 57°F, and it's set to get even warmer as the day progresses. Humidity is lingering at a moderate 47%, with a barometer reading of 30.14 in (1020.66 MB), a dewpoint of 37°F (3°C), and wind speeds at a calm standstill, promising a serene atmosphere throughout the downtown and suburban expanses.
According to the National Weather Service, today will be sunny with temperatures reaching a high near 88. By night, the temperature is expected to drop to a comfortable low around 62, while the north-northwest wind will decrease to a gentle lull. The weekend is expected to continue with clear and warm weather. On Saturday, the temperature will reach a high near 92 with a light east-southeast wind that will become a whisper by dusk. Temperatures are expected to drop to a low of around 66.
Continuing the pattern, Sunday's outlook points to another sun-soaked day with the high hovering near 91 and a southeast wind of 6 to 8 mph changing its course to the west-southwest in the latter half of the day, Sunday night will maintain the mostly clear theme with the thermometer reading expectedly dipping to around 60; the start of the new week promises more of the same with Monday and Tuesday offering uninterrupted sunshine and highs of 82 and 84, respectively, evening conditions on both days will mimic previous nights with mostly clear skies and lows in the upper 50s to low 60s.
The long stretch of pleasant weather will carry on through midweek as Wednesday once again greets Salt Lake City with sun-filled skies and a peak temperature near 85 by day, descending towards a low around 56 when darkness canvases the valley, Thursday will see a minor dip in temperature but the sun remains a loyal visitor, suggesting a high near 79, signaling a modest retreat of the warmth that would have bathed residents in near-Summer consistency but still holding onto the dry and clear hallmark that has marked the latter days of September.
