In a significant bust, the San José Police Department thwarted a prominent cocaine operation conducted by a local married couple. The suspects, 51-year-old Tri Pham and 46-year-old Jenny Pham, San José residents, were arrested and are now facing charges for their involvement in manufacturing, transporting, and selling cocaine base, more commonly known as crack cocaine.
After an extensive investigation spearheaded by the Metro Unit of the SJPD, authorities were tipped off about the couple's drug-related activities, which eventually led to search warrants at three residential locations. The police action uncovered a trove of illegal substances and firearms, including over 37 pounds of cocaine, 17 pounds of crack cocaine, 50 Xanax bars, and six firearms, along with two vehicles featuring concealed compartments and about $120,000 in cash, the San José Police Department reported.
The drugs seized during this operation hold a street value estimated at $2 million. Both Tri and Jenny Pham were arrested and booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail, facing numerous charges covering illegal weapons possession and narcotics trafficking.
San José police are asking the community to provide any pertinent information to assist with the ongoing investigation.
