According to the San Jose Police Department, three adult male suspects from the East Bay managed to grab more than 200 sunglasses before attempting a hasty retreat into a nearby city. The aerial unit stayed with the suspects, guiding ground patrol officers to the location of the three men, which resulted in successful apprehension. Once detained, the suspects were subsequently booked into jail, ensuring the stolen property was also located and recovered by the diligent police force.
A stern warning followed from the San Jose Police Department: "DO NOT come to San Jose to commit crime. AIR3 will find you and you will just go to jail tired."
