Collaboration between school resource officers, district staff, and the Arizona Counter Terrorism Information Center (ACTIC) has become essential in navigating the over one hundred threats that have been communicated to the police between the valleys and Tucson areas.
Investigators are working tirelessly to seemingly unravel the web woven by perpetrators who seem to find some solace in causing widespread panic. ACTIC's efforts are focusing on compiling the various threats, which disturbingly utilize similar language and images, only altered to target different schools, a few of which are situated in Scottsdale. "These threats cause genuine concern for the students and the faculty, as well as distract from other law enforcement investigations and education efforts," the SPD noted, highlighting the strain on resources and the heightened state of vigilance that these threats have ushered into the communities affected.

Reassuringly, none of the threats this school year have proven valid for schools within Scottsdale, with many originating from beyond the SUSD, Scottsdale, and even Arizona.
