For NFL enthusiasts looking to add a little flavor to their game day experience without breaking the bank, Shake Shack is stepping up with an offer that's hard to resist: a free Chicken Shack sandwich every Sunday during football season. As reported by ABC15, from now through December 15, the burger joint is giving away its popular Chicken Shack—a fried chicken sandwich complete with lettuce, pickles, and buttermilk herb mayo on a potato bun—but not without a catch. Patrons must first hit a $10 minimum purchase to snag the gratis grub.
While the offer spells out a maximum savings of $9.79, according to Shake Shack's math, it's only applicable when ordering at a kiosk in-store or when placing orders through the Shake Shack app or website. To get your hands on the free sandwich, customers should use the promo code "CHICKENSUNDAY" once their order totals at least $10 pre-savings. Be aware, the promo isn't valid for drive-thru or third-party delivery app orders.
With the NFL season in full swing, Shake Shack is not alone in capitalizing on football fever. Little Caesars, donning the title of "official pizza sponsor of the NFL," is offering $0 delivery and waiving additional service fees on online or app orders until September 15, according to ABC15. Furthermore, Wendy's has thrown its helmet into the ring with the introduction of the Saucy Nuggs Party Pack, aimed at keeping fans satiated with an ample serving of chicken nuggets throughout the season.
In a bid to amplify their promotion, Shake Shack has enlisted the help of NFL alumni and television personalities. CW33 reports that former NFL quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick and ESPN reporter Adam Schefter are among those sported by the brand during this NFL season. Aptly, the chain is also setting up tailgating pop-ups in select cities to further indulge fans' pre-game rituals.
