
A quiet home on the 6900 block of Minnesota last Friday when a 43-year-old man was shot inside. Details about the incident are still emerging, but reports from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department indicate that officers were called to the scene shortly before 6:00 p.m.
The victim was found with a gunshot wound after an unknown assailant allegedly forced entry into the residence. According to officials, the man and the intruder fought before the gunshot was fired. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department statement also noted that a 43-year-old woman was present during the incident but escaped unharmed.
First responders rushed the injured man to a local hospital where he was described as being in critical/unstable condition, as per St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department's report. The Homicide Division has since taken over what has clearly turned into a complex investigation.
