Sweetwater Police are on the hunt for a woman accused of a bold heist at a local hair salon. According to WSVN, this individual allegedly made off with over $1,000 worth of hair extensions after physically confronting the salon's owner. The incident took place at Yanka's Hair Extension on West Flagler Street.
Described as a white woman with long blonde hair and a distinctive "11:11" tattoo on her throat, the suspect, accompanied by a small white dog, ran into an unknown direction after pushing the salon owner. The kerfuffle unfolded around 6:30 p.m. on September 6, potentially adding charges of grand theft and battery should she be apprehended.
Further details from NBC Miami described the scene caught on surveillance. It shows the woman attempting to prevent an employee from making a phone call while holding her dog and then making a hasty exit from the business. The salon owner retaliated with pepper spray, but the suspect managed to escape.
Efforts have been made by the salon to circulate the surveillance footage online, requesting community assistance to identify the woman. Anyone with information on the subject, who took nearly four hours to receive hair extensions valuing $1,195, may come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation.
