A 14-year-old was robbed at gunpoint in Dutchtown. The incident took place on the 4700 block of S. Spring shortly before midnight, but the robbery happened earlier that day around 1:40 p.m., according to a statement from the St. Louis Metropolitant Police Ddepartment.
The young victim said that while he was walking, three unknown males approached him, pointed guns at him, and demanded his belongings. When he refused, one of the suspects hit him in the face with the gun. After being struck, he gave them his possessions, and then the suspects fled the scene, according to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.
The teenager, who was not injured during the robbery, declined any medical treatment and appeared to be unharmed physically. Official reports confirm this and he delayed reporting the event to the authorities for reasons that remain unclear. The St. Louis Metropolitant Police Ddepartment's District 1 continues their investigation into the robbery as they seek to identify the suspects.
Police are asking anyone with information about the robbery to come forward. Tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward.
