In a recent development in Haralson County, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation has taken Anna Megan Brock into custody on charges connected to a theft case. Brock, 33, of the city of Temple, has found herself on the wrong side of the law, facing allegations of Theft by Conversion, making False Statements, and related offenses pertaining to record keeping and document handling.
These events came to light following a request from District Attorney Jack Browning to the GBI, on July 16, to look into the disappearance of a substantial sum of money from the Buchanan Police Department's citation funds. The investigation led to Brock, who, during the incident, held the position of Chief Clerk for the Buchanan Police Department. With evidence mounting, the GBI proceeded to arrest Brock on August 29, as stated in a GBI press release.
Following her arrest, Brock attained a release from the Haralson County Jail by posting a bond set at $1000.00. As the allegations against her unfold, the investigation by the GBI continues. The bureau has encouraged individuals with any relevant information to come forward, keeping their identity shielded through anonymous tips. Informants can reach out by calling 1-800-597-TIPS (8477), going online, or utilizing the 'See Something, Send Something' mobile application to share insights that may aid in the case.
The possibility remains that further details will emerge as the GBI delves deeper into the matter. Once their investigation reaches a conclusion, Anna Megan Brock will have her day in court as the case file is turned over to the District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
