The arrest stems from a shooting event that transpired last year, and as reported by the GBI, McCord was the passenger in a vehicle from which several shots were fired, striking another car on the interstate. Fortunately, no one was hurt during the gunfire.
It was on Friday, September 13, 2023, when the deputies from McDuffie County were first called to the scene after a 911 call came in about shots being fired from a car. The preliminary findings suggest McCord to have been actively involved, with the GBI requested shortly thereafter to lead the investigation.
