Early morning chaos unfolded in Atlanta yesterday when a stabbing left three men injured, one critically. According to the Atlanta Police Department's report, officers were called to Grady Memorial Hospital just before 7 a.m. in response to a violent episode that initially took place on 138 Edgewood Avenue NE. The victims included a 28-year-old man with a stab wound to his hand, a 30-year-old man, now fighting for his life with multiple stab wounds, and a third victim, a 33-year-old male, also with multiple injuries.
The incident seemed to have forced the victims to take matters, with the report mentioning they were self-transported to the hospital. During their arrival, walking into Grady Memorial's emergency room, the 28 and 33-year-old were able to interact with the medical staff. Meanwhile, the situation for the 30-year-old man was listed in critical condition.
Atlanta PD's Aggravated Assault Unit is now leading the investigation to piece together what led to the stabbing. Detectives made their way to the original crime scene at Edgewood Avenue NE, attempting to uncover clues that might shed light on the events preceding the hospital visit. As is customary in such cases, the police are keeping details of the case confidential.
As of now, little is known about the motive or identities of the assailants. The Atlanta Police's public information release made no mention of suspects or arrests. The information available suggests a narrative still in progress, with key elements under review as the investigation is ongoing.
