Tipton County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating a fatal shooting that took place last night. According to Action News 5, deputies, along with crime scene detectives and the Violent Crime Unit, were dispatched to the scene on Mason-Charleston Road, where they found a man deceased.

The Sheriff's Office reported the incident just before 11 p.m., and at the crime scene, speaking with area residents, the detectives are working to piece together the events that led to the shooting. While they are gathering evidence, the identity of the man killed remains undisclosed, signaling the early and sensitive nature of the investigation.

As per a statement obtained by FOX13 Memphis, Tipton County Sheriff Shannon Beasley said, "Detectives are currently gathering evidence and speaking with area residents to determine the events of the shooting." No additional information has been released regarding potential suspects or the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
