
Violence erupted in northwest Atlanta on Wednesday afternoon as two men were rushed to hospital following a shooting. According to FOX 5 Atlanta, the incident occurred around 1:03 p.m. at 109 Victor Circle NW, prompting a swift response from officers of the Atlanta Police Zone 1 who found both victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
The Atlanta Police Department's preliminary report stated one victim was alert, conscious, and breathing when found, immediately taken to an area hospital, while the other victim was discovered in a critical life-threatening condition, and also transported for medical care; the investigators from the department’s Aggravated Assault Unit are now piecing together the events that led to the shooting in an effort to uncover the motive which remains unknown.
Concurrent reports from WSBTV confirmed the double shooting and also underscored the critical state of one victim, while noting that the second victim was alert; however, no identities have been released, nor have details about the circumstances leading up to this violent encounter.
