
Early this morning, multiple gunshots in Southwest Atlanta led to two individuals being wounded. According to the Atlanta Police Department, the incident occurred at 1:05 a.m. at 1469 Campbellton Rd. SW where the victims were reportedly inside the premises when the shooting began.
Police, arriving on the scene, were directed to a second location, 1829 Campbellton Rd. SW, where a 65-year-old man was found suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite the seriousness of his injuries, he was alert, conscious, and breathing. A second victim, a 33-year-old man, had already made his way to Grady Hospital by private vehicle and was listed in stable condition. Each of the victims' conditions could have been worse if it were not for the prompt medical attention they received.
The shootings are believed to have been the result of multiple suspects who fired into the building from outside, as stated by initial findings from the Atlanta Police. The exact number of assailants involved has not yet been disclosed, as this is an ongoing investigation.
