The UNLV campus became an unexpected nexus of concern when University Police Services issued a notice about an individual sought in connection with a domestic violence incident. According to FOX5 Vegas, the suspect was last spotted in the vicinity of Flamingo Road and Claymont Street, on the north side of the main campus.
The suspect is marked by a specific description: a Hispanic male, standing at 5 feet 5 inches with a slender frame, thought to be between the ages of 20 and 25, and importantly, not wearing a shirt. Sending currents of unease through the campus, early in the morning an alert was sent out by the university, as reported by News 3 LV.
The situation became more serious with the suspect possibly being armed with a knife, increasing the threat on campus. Community members are advised to avoid the area and stay alert. As the search goes on, ensuring public safety is a top priority.
