A Clark County man has been taken into custody following a confession that he fatally stabbed his sister, authorities confirmed this week. The suspect, identified as Dwayne Robinson, age 34, was arrested by deputies after they were dispatched to a Vancouver home in response to a disturbance involving a weapon last night.
The alarming discovery came after a concerned individual reported not having heard from Diane Robinson, 36, for several days. Amidst worries, they visited Diane's residence only to be met with her brother Dwayne's admission of the killing. He reportedly told the concerned visitor that "he had stabbed and killed Diane," according to the KOIN report.
Following an investigation at the scene, Clark County Sheriff's deputies discovered a woman's body inside the home. While formal identification procedures are underway, Dwayne Robinson now faces a charge of first-degree murder and is currently incarcerated at the Clark County Jail. At this moment, the Sheriff's Office has opted not to disclose further information concerning the events that led to the stabbing, as reported by KGW.
The case has garnered the attention of the Clark County Sheriff's Office Major Crimes Unit, which is rigorously investigating the incident. As the probe unfolds, and as the deceased individual's identity is officially confirmed, no additional suspects are being pursued at present, highlighted by a statement from sheriff’s officials in an OregonLive article.
