A late-night incident in South Memphis resulted in one woman's death and one man's detention by the Memphis Police Department (MPD). According to FOX13 Memphis, the shooting occurred just before 11 p.m. on Sunday at 1387 Elvis Presley Boulevard, a location identified as a hair and nail salon. The woman, critically injured, was transported to Regional One Health, where she succumbed to her injuries.
Action News 5 reports that officers arrived at the scene, Perfect Hair Salon, to find the victim already wounded. Following the incident, a man was detained by the authorities. The relationship between the man and the deceased woman was not immediately clear, nor were the circumstances leading up to the shooting.
