
In a concerning turn of events, a youngster has found themselves on the wrong side of the law. The Metropolitan Police Department has confirmed the arrest of a 12-year-old juvenile from Northwest, D.C., tied to an armed robbery that occurred earlier last month. The incident took place on the Unit block of Florida Avenue Northwest, when at about 9:56 p.m. on September 2, two individuals, one of whom wielded a firearm, confronted and subsequently robbed the victim of their belongings, as reported by the Metropolitan Police Department.
According to the MPD, the juvenile was charged with Robbery (Gun) on October 2, following an investigation spearheaded by detectives. It was conducted after the victim complied, fearing for their safety, and the suspects made off with the property. The circumstances leading up to the arrest of the 12-year-old suspect have not been fully disclosed.
With the case still under active investigation, law enforcement officers are urging the public to come forward with any knowledge about the incident.
