The Alameda County Sheriff's Office is reaching out to the public, seeking help to solve two cold cases that have left families and friends without answers for years, possibly decades. The first case involves a missing person, Jann Lactawen, who was last seen on October 25, 2017. According to a social media post by the Alameda County Sheriff, Lactawen vanished after leaving his family home in San Lorenzo and was spotted briefly at the Montgomery Street BART station in San Francisco on the day he disappeared.

Despite witnesses observing a light blue or grey BMW fleeing the scene and a black male adult escaping towards an apartment complex, the perpetrators have yet to be found. The official statement from the Alameda County Sheriff's Office outlines the tragic demise of Sexton after being struck by gunfire and later pronounced dead at Eden Hospital.
