Yesterday, near the underpass of I-680 on Livorna Road, tragedy struck when a parked black Toyota bZ3X abruptly entered the roadway and collided with a female cyclist. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) Contra Costa reported the incident occurred at about 11:12 am.
Emergency responders rushed to the site, but despite their efforts, the woman succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, her life cut tragically short by an unforeseen hazard on the road. The male driver of the Toyota escaped physical harm, but his actions have irrevocably altered the lives of those who knew and loved the victim.
