The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office has made an arrest in connection with a double homicide case from July in Amite. Twenty-one-year-old Ryan Snow faces charges of first-degree murder and obstruction of justice for the deaths of Chrissy Jenkins and her boyfriend, Christopher Hedgewood. According to WDSU, the victims were found shot inside a mobile home on the 600 block of Martin Luther King Street.
In the early morning hours of July 23, a woman’s desperate call reached 911, signaling a tragedy. Jenkins reported that she and Hedgewood had been shot. They would both be dead before help arrived, as reported by FOX 8. In the following months, investigators continued their work, largely without public assistance, despite an increased Crimestoppers reward. A breakthrough occurred when forensic evidence identified Snow as a suspect in the couple’s deaths, both of whom were in their late 20s.
Sheriff Gerald Sticker, in a statement obtained by WWLTV, expressed his pride in the investigators, "I am incredibly proud of our criminal investigations team for not letting up on their drive in this case. While we are pleased to bring some level of justice to these victims and their families, the work is not done, and our detectives will ensure full justice is served through our court system."
The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office did not provide details about Snow's relationship with Jenkins and Hedgewood. As the investigation continues, detectives urge anyone with relevant information to come forward.
