The Antioch Police Department has taken into custody a man suspected of being involved in multiple sexual assault cases, some of which span over a decade. Robert Chuksorji, age 37, was arrested on June 24 following an investigation by the department's Investigations Bureau into a recent violent sexual assault. During the investigation, several other victims came forward, leading to further charges filed against Chuksorji.
Following the method of his alleged operation, Chuksorji would establish contact with women, getting their phone numbers and then engaging in a pattern of communication primarily conducted via texts, then planning in-person meetings which, according to detectives, would turn into sexual assaults. With Chuksorji's arrest, the Antioch Police Department has revealed there might be other victims who have yet to report their experiences. As reported by a press release from the Antioch Police Department, it has been determined that Chuksorji may have operated under several aliases over the years.
The Antioch Police Department's investigation remains active, and officers have publicly appealed for additional victims or anyone with information about Chuksorji's activities to come forward. The officials also made it clear that they have suspicions of more potential unreported sexual assault cases tied to the suspect. Detectives handling the case ask those who may have fallen victim to Chuksorji to contact them, providing a direct line and email for Detective Allen, who is part of the investigation team.
