The legal landscape of Arizona is set to welcome new members, as the recent results of the July 2024 Arizona Uniform Bar Examination (UBE) revealed a passing rate of 69%. According to a news release from the Arizona Supreme Court, out of the 505 applicants who sat for the examination, 346 aspiring attorneys have successfully met the score requirement for admission in the Grand Canyon state.
The top performers of the grueling two-day exam held on July 30 and 31 have been highlighted, with Daniel Harris McDermott from the University of Arizona James E Rogers College of Law placing first. Erin Taylor Jenkins and Christopher Thomas Shanley, both 2024 graduates from the Arizona State University Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law, secured the second and third places, respectively. These individuals, along with others who met examination and character and fitness requirements, have been recommended for admission to the practice of law in Arizona.
Names of the successful candidates are publicly available, detailing a diverse group hailing from various corners of the nation, including West Palm Beach, FL, New Haven, CT, and beyond.
