On Friday at around 8:30 p.m., residents of Hebert Street noticed an incident. According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, a 48-year-old man encountered an armed carjacker as he was getting out of his 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe.
The assailant, wearing a surgical mask, pointed a gun and demanded the victim's keys. The victim gave the keys to the carjacker, who then drove off in the Tahoe. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department responded to the incident in the 3600 block of Hebert, and it is now under investigation.
Details about the ongoing investigation are still being collected, and the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department is asking for help from the community.
