The first report of the incident came from the Atlanta Police Department, in a statement posted on their website. Officers responded to the incident at around 7:00 a.m. Sunday, at 80 Jesse Hill Jr. Dr. SE, where they found a 21-year-old female in stable condition despite her injuries.
The victim, whose identity is not released, was quickly attended to and showed a strong will to survive despite suffering multiple gunshot wounds. Investigators arrived shortly after to uncover details of the incident, seeking to understand the motive or the possibility of random violence.
Initial findings indicate that the shooting occurred at 685 Cooper St SW. No suspects have been identified, and law enforcement is carefully searching the area for witnesses, surveillance footage, or any evidence that could lead to justice. The community, familiar with violence but still affected by it, watches and waits.
