FOX 5 Atlanta reports that the incident took place in early October at the Gold and Diamond Castle kiosk. Surveillance footage captured at approximately 6:30 p.m. last Tuesday shows two men, one in a gray hoodie and the other in a black hoodie, engaging in the heist.
The video, as described by officials, shows one man in a gray hoodie attempting to forcibly retrieve an item from the kiosk worker's grasp. According to FOX 5 Atlanta, the employee struggled to maintain hold of the jewelry for several seconds before the man successfully made off with it. During this encounter, the second suspect in a black hoodie was seen running away alongside his accomplice.
Further details revealed by Atlanta News First indicate that the $14,000 piece of jewelry was damaged during the theft. The Atlanta Police Department is now seeking assistance from the public to identify the suspects involved in this crime.
