Attempted Murder Suspect from Crockett County Captured in Memphis by U.S. Marshals

After a manhunt that extended for days, officials confirmed that a suspect wanted for attempted murder in Crockett County has been apprehended in Memphis. Antonio Pewitte, 37, was taken into custody by U.S. deputy marshals at the Tanglewood Apartment Homes, situated off Sycamore View Road, as per a release from the Action News 5.

Pewitte is accused of committing a brutal attack on his ex-girlfriend, stabbing her multiple times in the face and head on October 19 outside of her workplace in Bells, Tennessee.
