Community engagement took a fun turn in Dorchester this week, as Boston Police Department's District C-11 officers collaborated with students from St. Anne’s and St. Brendan’s Schools to celebrate Faith and Blue Week. A series of activities were organized to enhance relationships between law enforcement and the community, beginning with an outing to Boston Bowl, according to a BPD news release.
The day included a visit to the Franklin Park Zoo, where students explored the animal exhibits. They participated in educational activities and spent time in the fall foliage while observing the zoo residents. The events concluded with a pizza party, where attendees shared slices and soft drinks.
"Faith in Blue Week provided a wonderful chance to build meaningful relationships and celebrate our commitment to community," reads a statement from the Boston Police Department's news announcement. The week achieved its objective of bridging gaps and promoting unity.
The BPD expressed appreciation to all participants—students, teachers, and community members—for their involvement.
