
The Boston Police Department has extended a call for public assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a high-dollar shoplifting incident, which took place in the Back Bay neighborhood, officials reported, individuals with information about the case are urged to step forward to aid the ongoing investigation.
According to a community alert by the Boston Police Department, the shoplifting episode occurred around 6:50 PM last Wednesday, at Sunglass Hut located at 800 Boylston Street, the suspect, a white female estimated to be around 5 feet 3 inches tall with dark hair, was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, a black zip-up hooded jacket, black pants, white sneakers, and carrying a black tote bag, made off with roughly $5,100 worth of sunglasses.
Detectives from District D-4 are investigating a theft at Sunglass Hut and are working to find the person responsible. The police have shared a detailed suspect description to help the community identify her and provide tips.
