According to an investigation detailed by the Buckeye Police Department, Chaidez was allegedly driving at speeds exceeding 100 miles per hour "shortly before losing control of his car and crashing into a tree." The devastating outcome left one passenger, 18-year-old Yaritza Vasquez, dead at the scene, and another 15-year-old boy severely injured, necessitating hospitalization. After the grand jury's indictment, Chaidez turned himself over to the authorities and was subsequently booked into jail, as Arizona's Family noted.
The full consequences of the crash are yet to be completely understood pending the release of court documents. However, the indictment reflects the gravity of the event and the loss it caused. Chaidez's bond details remain unclear, as per Arizona's Family. This information is expected to come to light following the scheduled release of court papers.
