An officer-involved shooting that took place in Burbank during the early hours of Saturday has sparked an investigation after a Burbank police officer opened fire on the driver of a stolen van. The officer, whose identity has not been disclosed, is now on administrative leave pending an investigation.
Following the police protocol for such incidents patrolling officers, after being alerted to the stolen van in the Magnolia Park District around 1 a.m., located the vehicle and initiated the stop on Buena Vista Street.
