Students at Burnsville High School were recently given a unique chance to step into the boots of local heroes, courtesy of the Burnsville Fire Department. As reported by the City of Burnsville, Minnesota - Municipal Government, a group of interested teenagers had the opportunity to participate in Fire Ops, a program designed to simulate the day-to-day responsibilities of firefighters and paramedics.
According to the City of Burnsville, the Fire Ops event didn't merely teach, it aimed to ignite a passion among the youth who "may see one of these smiling faces serving Burnsville one day."
