On Thursday last week, Camp Verde celebrated community spirit during the annual National Night Out event, where the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office (YCSO) showcased their K-9 unit's skills in drug enforcement. Three popular K-9s—Tex, Radar, and Skye—along with their deputy handlers, performed demonstrations highlighted on the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office's official website.
In addition to the K-9s, deputies mingled with the crowd, handing out popular Deputy Do Right stickers that delighted both kids and adults. Residents expressed their gratitude with handwritten cards, emphasizing the mutual appreciation between public servants and citizens. One card read, "Thank you for your service. May God be with you whenever things get tough," according to the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office.
The event centered on appreciation, with many community members honoring first responders. These interactions allowed deputies and volunteers to connect with residents from Camp Verde and surrounding areas, making National Night Out a meaningful occasion for both the community and the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office.
