Casa Grande residents can now catch a ride on the CG LINK transit service six days a week, with service expansions including Saturdays starting November 2. Selecting Saturday as a part of their upgraded transportation plan is evidence of the city's investment in improving accessibility across the community. According to the City of Casa Grande, the move aims to integrate the CG LINK service with the existing CART transit network, easing the way residents interact with the various locales within the city's embrace.

In a display of the City of Casa Grande's awareness of its growing transit needs, "The addition of Saturday service has always been part of our original plan,” said Deb Brunner, Transit Manager. “We’re thrilled with the community’s positive response to CG LINK and are excited to provide an extra day of service, giving residents more opportunities to get around and take care of their daily needs.” CG LINK’s integration into daily life is evidenced by its significant usage since launch, nearly carrying 34,000 passengers through the arteries of Casa Grande’s streets and avenues.

Structured to support the community's pulse, CG LINK operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and, marking its expansion, will now also run on Saturdays. Resilience in public service is echoed in the encouragement for passengers to make trip reservations 24 hours in advance, which can be done through a phone call to Dispatch, by visiting the CG LINK website, or by utilizing the CG LINK Rider App available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, as reported by the City of Casa Grande.

Accessibility remains a cornerstone of the CG LINK service, with vehicles that welcome wheelchair users and features like bicycle racks to accommodate the diverse needs of its passengers. The transit route covers the southern part of Casa Grande, with major stops that function as lifelines to resources such as city libraries, downtown Casa Grande, the Dorothy Powell Senior Center, the City Recreation Center, Banner Medical Center, grocery stores, Walmart, and Promenade Mall, as per the City of Casa Grande. For those interested in tapping into this expanded vein of public transportation, or to simply book a trip, can find more information by visiting CG LINK.
